Iverson set to “answer” early call to Hall of Fame in ’16

Allen Iverson, arguably one of the NBAs greatest pound-for-pound scorers of all-time, is expected to be eligible for an early induction into the Hall of fame next year.

The 2001 MVP officially retired in 2013, but his last season in the NBA concluded in 2010. The Answer went on to play 10 games in Turkey before injuries ultimately sidelined him indefinitely. Typically, there is a five-year waiting period before a player can be under consideration for the Hall of Fame, but Iversons post-NBA career will be ignored, making him eligible for the 2016 class.

Iverson, a 10-time All-star, had a career scoring average of 26.7 per game over 14 seasons.
