Is It LaMar Jackson Time In Baltimore?

Baltimore Ravens vet Joe Flacco threw 56 times on Sunday and completed just 29 passes for 0 TDs and a pick in an offensively-inept 12-9 OT loss to Cleveland on Sunday. The Super Bowl-winning QB looked clueless at times and his elusiveness is nonexistent.

The Ravens are 3-2, but it’s obvious that they could be even better. It may be time for John Harbaugh to take a look at the success of  the rest of the“Fab Five” rookie class, chuck the slow development plan and toss Jackson into the fire to provide a spark to a team with an offense and a QB that doesn’t instill fear in anyone, despite being 11th in total offense.

While Jackson gets spot duty here and there as a gadget guy, the top four quarterbacks chosen in the 2018 NFL Draft all started and played pivotal leadership roles in their teams winning on Sunday.

1. Baker Mayfield (Cleveland)

Baker Mayfield stole everybody’s shine again on Sunday, proving why he was the No. 1 overall pick. Hes a culture changer with all of the dawg and confidence and competitiveness that a franchise quarterback should have,. He makes everybody forget that the Browns won 1 game the past two seasons. He makes Hue Jackson and the Browns front office look like well-informed geniuses. On Sunday, he had the signature win of his brief career, leading Clevelands OT drive that resulted in a field goal and win over Baltimore.

He threw for 342 yards and showed the uninvited confidence of an old-school pigskin slinger in the mold of Brett Favre bringing a much-needed fearless approach to a Browns team on the rise.

2. Sam Darnold threw three TD passes, including two lasers to Robby Anderson as the Jets squashed the Broncos 34-16.

3. Josh Allen is showing the intangibles that NFL scouts were enamored with and is getting the job done by any means necessary. The 6-foot-5 rookie willed the Bill to respectability and a 13-12 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

4. Josh Rosen wasnt magnificent, but he was effective. He didnt make mistakes and he took shots down the field. The Cardinals have their franchise QB. Now they must put some pieces around him.

If these guys can get the job done, then why not Jackson? The Ravens offense is solid, but it’s nothing special.

@tysimons1124 Lamar Jackson needs to start…..

It’s not Super Bowl ready. Action Jackson can bring the excitement back to Baltimore that left with Ray Lewis.
