Fight Preview: Super Saturday

This weekend is all about one day that will have you either at a sports bar with multiple TVs or switching channels like a mad person throughout your night.

Yes, there comes a time when fighting is all a Saturday evening is about and this weekend proves to be the time.

Boxing takes over the Saturday airwaves as Miguel Cotto makes his return but to an unfamiliar New York City venue, Robert Guerero attempts to rebound after a thrilling loss to Keith Thurman and Glory World Series gives you a Friday appetizer.

Glory World Series returns live from Paris with Glory 22. The event features a Heavyweight showdown between Champion Rico Verhoeven and undefeated Benjamin Adegbuyi.

In the co-main event Heavyweights Zach Mwekassa meets Carlos Brooks who is making his Glory debut. The event also features two fights that are part of a Lightweight tournament and five Superfights to round out an awesome night of kickboxing live from Europe on Spike TV.

Cotto vs. Geale

Miguel Cotto faces Daniel Geale this Saturday live on HBO from the Barclays Center. Cotto usually fights in Madison Square Garden when in New York City, however, this move comes as no surprise since Cotto signed to Jay-Zs Roc Nation Sports this year.

Cotto is currently on a two fight win streak that saw him gain the WBC, Lineal and The Ring Middleweight titles from Sergio Martinez when he retired on his stool in the 10th round. Geales last fight was also a win, over Jarrod Fletcher, and he seeks to sustain the momentum.

Premier Boxing Champions: Guerrero vs. Martinez

Veteran Robert Guerrero returns to PBC after a thrilling loss to Keith Thurman for the WBA Welterweight title this past March. Guerrero, who often complains about not fighting enough, wastes no time taking on Aaron Martinez at the Stub Hub Center live on NBC.

This fight is an early one starting at 3pm EST/12pm PST taking advantage of the great Southern California weather. Herandez, also attempting to rebound from a loss, has been inactive for over a year since he fought and lost to Josesito Lopez in April 2014. The fight leans heavy towards Guerrero, however, all the PBC fights have been epic so far and after Guerreros last showing this should be no different.

UFC Fight Night: Boetsch vs. Henderson

The UFC returns to New Orleans for a battle between the legendary Dan Henderson and Tim Boetsch. Henderson is currently on a two-fight losing streak and has been finished in both fights. Notably, Henderson was KOd by Gegard Mousasi in the first round last January.

Tim Boetsch is also fresh off a loss in January against Thales Leites that won his Fight of the Night honors. Boetsch was finished in the second round via an arm-triangle choke and looks to rebound against a legend that has fought virtually everyone.

UFC Fight Night is live and free on Fox Sports.
