Twitter is a strange land. The thirst for attention from celebrities is real. On Monday night, J. Cole was confronted with an odd message in his Twitter feed.

The firearm later turned out to be a BB gun, but not before J. Cole retweeted him and added, "This is the wildest Sh*t I ever seen on Twitter." According to _@TzC's Twitter account, the cops didn't think it was a game either and visited his home.
This is why celebrities have bodyguards. Some of these fans teeter the line between overzealous and unhinged. With any luck, this won't inspire a series of copycats who take this prank too far. At least we know J. Cole checks his mentions now.
