The weeks’ long investigation into whether or not actor Jussie Smollett was a victim of a MAGA hate crime, has seemingly become undone.
According to Chicago Police, the Empire actor, activist Smollett has officially been arrested on the charges of filing a false report/disorderly conduct.

Press Briefing: Jussie Smollet is under arrest and in custody of detectives. At 9am at #ChicagoPolice Headquarters, Supt Eddie Johnson, Commander of Area Central Detectives Edward Wodnicki will brief reporters on the investigation prior to the defendants appearance in court.
As more details began to unravel, plus footage of his alleged attackers not fitting the stereotypical MAGA description, Chicago Police believed they had enough evidence to bring Smollett in as a suspect. Smollett turned himself into custody.
If convicted for filing a false police report, Smollett could serve felony time up to 3 years.
