Dodgers Take Game 6 To Win 2020 World Series: Third Time Is A Charm

The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers won titles in their respective sports just weeks apart during a COVID-19 pandemic that reduced sports to television viewing in empty stadiums which were once the epicenter of exciting entertainment for thousands of fans.

Both seasons were shortened due to the pandemic and MLB had its early challenges containing the outbreak, but all is well that ends well and both leagues made it across the finish line in the face of adversity.

The Dodgers won Games 5 and 6 to eliminate the pesky Tampa Bay Rays in six games and finally complete the mission after falling short in 2017 and 2018. The title is the Dodgers’ first since 1988 when Kirk Gibson and Tommy Lasorda electrified Tinseltown with a dramatic win against the powerhouse Oakland A’s.

I’ve enjoyed my second season doing my “Foul or Fair” MLB segment on The Odd Couple show with Rob Parker & Chris Broussard on Fox Sports Radio. We counted down to Game 6, discussing potential starters, the benefit of the universal DH and the legacies of Clayton Kershaw, Corey Seager, and rookie record-breaker Randy Arozarena.

Catch The Odd Couple live weeknights 7-10pm ET on @FoxSportsRadio & @iHeartRadio
