Phoenix Suns Devin Booker and model Kendall Jenner have broken up. The effect may have potential repercussions on the Western Conference because Booker may have avoided the dreaded Kardashian curse.
After a reported two years together, they split, feeling like they were on “different paths,” according to Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday. Additionally, Booker and Jenner “have had discussions about their future but they are not on the same page.”
The two attended Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding back in May, where they had a “really nice time.” Still, when they returned from the wedding held in Portofino, Italy, they didn’t feel in alignment, moving on “very different paths,” according to E!
The couple has since been broken up for about a week and a half.

Booking It
When men enter the ultra-bright media spotlight in the world of Kardashian-Jenner, they seem to wither and fall to the wayside of popular opinion. Either that or they go stone-cold crazy and begin to confuse the core fan base they had before their planetary orbit entered the K & J nebula.
Disclaimer: this “curse” is not a scientific fact.
However, there is no current evidence against it, save Devin Booker, who has remained relatively sane save the inability to will his team over the Finals and playoffs finish line into the land of the chip.
But examining the curse’s victims, Devin Booker may have avoided the seemingly pending mania that comes with loving a Kardashian or a Jenner.
The “Cursed”
Kanye West is the most famous alleged curse victim who helped his wife become a billionaire while becoming the most afflicted billionaire in the world. West isn’t the same Kanye from the Late Registration album, whether it was the unfortunate passing of his mother, the extra Ray J sex tapes, or the 24/7 consumption of everything his wife does.
As a couple, the two visited then-President Donal Trump, splitting his confused fan base that thought he was more than partially woke by hip hop affiliation. Then there are the celebrity bodies that lay in the curse’s wake: Tyga, Travis Scott, Lamar Odom, and more.
Kylie Jenner even acknowledged the matrix around being affiliated with her family intimately.

New Book Chapter
“It’s everyone around us that aren’t used to [the media attention],” she said to GQ in 2018. “And we’re just like, ‘Oh, that’ll go away in a day.’ I know these stories aren’t going to matter, so don’t even let them affect you, you know?'”
The 25-year-old Booker and Jenner, 26, started dating in 2020 and successfully kept their relationship out of the spotlight until a 2021 Valentine’s post by Jenner of them cuddling. From there, Booker has been able to keep it all about his basketball brand, not succumbing to the fame vortex that swallows grown men whole like a mukbang.
Now Booker can focus on securing a championship for a team that is one of the 11 NBA teams that has never experienced the joy of an NBA championship. Or maybe that’s the other curse he has to avoid.
