We all knew that the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight would put up big numbers, but according to UFC President Dana White, the fight went astronomical in regards to PPV buys.
Speaking with Snoop Dogg and Urijah Faber, White claimed that the super fight did 6.5 million PPV buys. If true, that would eclipse the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight, which broke records with 4.6 million PPV buys domestically, and 5.5 million globally.

Now it could be that White was referring to total buys globally; but no matter what, that fight destroyed everything which preceded it and will, most likely, be the most successful PPV event we’ll see for a long time.
