Conor McGregor Under Investigation Over Ireland Sexual Accusation

The Irishman can’t stay out of trouble but is this partly why he’s retiring?

On the heels of his retirement announcement, Conor McGregor has been hit with a major setback.

The Irish star is under investigation in Ireland after a woman accused him of sexual assault in December. McGregor has not been charged officially with a crime, but the news of an investigation is sure to be a blow to his brand.

According to reports, Ireland’s criminal protocol mirrors that of much of Europe, where a formal charge does not necessarily follow an arrest. However, McGregor was arrested in January and questioned by law enforcement. He was released pending further investigation.

The revelation follows another shocker, that McGregor may be the father to another child with an English woman.

Back in February, an English woman, Terry Murray, claimed McGregor fathered her child. The 26-year-old has clamored for McGregor to take a DNA test telling the Daily Mirror: “I don’t want his money. I just want to prove he is Clodagh’s dad and I’m not lying.”

Murray claims she slept with McGregor in April 2017 when he visited Liverpool for the Aintree Grand National steeplechase. He reportedly partied for three days in the city before going to Mansion nightclub where he met Murray.

The young woman claims she was invited by the entourage to McGregor’s Hilton Hotel room. After refusing advances by a member of his entourage, she went to have a drink in McGregor’s executive suite where he was with friends. Murray claims the fighter then said, “I’ve been waiting for you.”

The two were intimate and two days later met again for another tryst. Allegedly, the two slept with the together four weeks before his long-term girlfriend Dee Devlin gave birth to Conor McGregor, Jr.

When she found out she was pregnant, she allegedly reached out to McGregor but claims he did not initially respond. “The Notorious “has denied being the father to the 1-year-old child.

Last May, Murray filled in an “initial inquiry form” for child maintenance, naming McGregor as the “respondent.”

McGregor has not made an official statement about either allegation, however, the troubles are piling up for the star.
