With Masons departure, Cube was able to acquire an even bigger name and a man known for not only his basketball excellence, but supreme character in Hall of Fame NBA legend Clyde The Glide Drexler, a ten-time All-Starwho was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History.
The move not only gives the 3-on-3 league for retired pros another major name to hitch its wagon to, but it quickly re-solidifies the vital commissioner position.
Clyde signed a three-year deal. The league’s ten-week season tips off in Houston, TX on June 22 at the Toyota Center.

Big3 destinations also include Chicago, Oakland, Detroit, Miami, Toronto, Dallas, Boston, with Atlanta hosting the playoffs, and the Championship Game taking place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Each venue will host back-to-back games and will take place on Friday evenings this season. BIG3 games were shown on tape delay last season, but will now be broadcast live on FOX Broadcast Network and FS1 all season long.
Via big3.com: During his distinguished NBA career, Drexler played for the Portland Trail Blazers (83-95) and Houston Rockets (95-98) and won a gold medal as part of the 1992 US Mens Olympic Basketball Dream Team.

In his role as Commissioner, Drexler will join the BIG3 Board of Directors, alongside Kwatinetz, Cube and Chairman of the Board Amy Trask. Also joining the Board as directors and board observers will be players Chauncey Billups, Jermaine ONeal, Corey Maggette and Jerome Junkyard Dog Williams as well as legal legend Mark Geragos.
