They once called him “The Black Clark Gable.” He wooed Diana Ross in Lady Sings the Blues. And now Billie Dee Williams is heading back to TV in a move that brings smiles to all who remember his Colt 45 commercials and the smooth talking swag of Star Wars conman Lando Calrissian.
This month, Williams joins the cast of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, waltzing and two stepping for the world to see in one of TV's most popular shows. Some of the celebs he joins we absolutely do not know. Other than NeNe Leaks of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and comedian Drew Carey seen daily on The Price is Right, the other so-called celebs are unfamiliar to us. But we do know sports reporter Erin Andrews, who joins Tom Bergeron as new co-host for the show that returns for its 18th season on March 17.
