Marshawn Lynch has not yet reached terms on a contract with the Oakland Raiders, despite earlier reports that it was already a done deal, reports Jerry McDonald of The Mercury News.
Lynch was said to have closed a deal with the Raiders early on Friday, but it appears some folks jumped the gun on that.
But it does seem like it’s merely a matter of time before the retired Oakland native has his rights, owned by the Seattle Seahawks, his former NFL employer, traded to the Raiders.
Lynch will need to be reinstated before any transaction is made between the teams, but that is simply a formality. Beast Mode will soon be a Raider. It’s no longer a question of it, but when.
