“Almost Human” Appears Poised to Become A Fan-Favorite

There was once a time when a brawny, virile specimen of a man had to hide his secret obsession with all things science fiction. But these days those who frown upon the genre or show little respect for it as a viable television option are seen as something of an aberration. Especially when one considers recent science fiction TV hits as The Walking Dead, Lost and Battlestar Galactica. Director J.J. Abrams, known for his contributions to the "Lost" television franchise, "Armageddon," and the upcoming Star Wars films believes he can flourish in the television arena with Almost Human. And so far so good. Starring Karl Urban and Michael Ealy, the series which takes place in a dystopian future in which police officers are teamed with human-like androids, premiered over the weekend to rave reviews from several notoriously fickle outlets. IMDB (Internet Movie Database) gives it 7 out of 10 stars. Almost Human can be seen again tonight, in its regular time slot, Monday at 8 PM ET (FOX).
