Adidas, Prairie View A&M Agree To Multi-Year Apparel Deal

The largest obstacle to improving HBCU athletic programs is usually funding and a lack of visibility that limits recruiting. Prairie View A&M University has found a way to improve the prestige and appeal of their HBCU through a partnership with one of the goliath brands in sports.

Prairie View A&M and Adidas announce apparel partnership deal #PrairieView

Adidas announced Monday a new multi-year partnership in which the legendary company will be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accessory brand of the Panthers.

We are thrilled to officially announce our exciting partnership with Adidas, said PVAMU Vice President / Director of Athletics Ashley Robinson. Since its inception, Adidas has continued to redefine innovation by always listening to the needs of the worlds best athletes and helping them be the best they can be. In partnering with this iconic brand, Prairie View A&M University student-athletes will now wear the best apparel to help them achieve competitive greatness.

New digs for Prairie View A&M Athletics->

With the new multi-year deal, Adidas will supply the Panthers with all their headwear, apparel, footwear, and accessory needs for all sports starting July 1 through the 2022-23 season.

Our mission is to help athletes perform better and well bring our newest and most innovative high-performance products to the Panthers, said Jim Murphy, director of NCAA Sports Marketing at Adidas North America. We seek to inspire through our products, our style and in communities and were looking forward to partnering with Prairie View A&M Athletics to help them empower student-athletes.

Adidas is the official uniform, footwear, and apparel provider for more than 100 collegiate programs and has marketing agreements with the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and MLS. 

Just being associated with a brand that services so many prestigious athletic programs and pro leagues change the game for Prairie View A&M. Athletes entering that school know they are backed by and representing not only their universities but one of the most powerful brands in sports.
