Last month, Aaron Hernandez notched another notch on his belt by getting charged for an assault that occurred against an inmate in prison. On Thursday morning, another indictment was handed down that accuses him of Daniel Abreau and Safiro Furtado's double murder in a 2012 drive-by shooting on Boston's South End.
Hernandez's involvement with the double murder has been rumored since the details about his alleged North Attleborough slaying of friend Odin Lloyd began leaking out. According to reports earlier this year, days before Lloyd's murder, a patron at a nightclub told a security guard he'd overheard Lloyd and Hernandez arguing about the double murder, which occurred on July 16, 2012 just one month before he signed a five-year extension that included the largest signing bonus ever given to an NFL tight end.
Looks like the only extension he'll be getting locked into anytime soon is behind steel bars.
