CNN has officially announced the cancellation of Piers Morgan Live, hosted by British-born Piers Morgan. The gun control advocate took over the 9 PM weeknight slot from Larry King in 2011, and has recently suffered from very low ratings.
The outspoken host has landed in negative limelight many times for his controversial views, and often rubbed viewers the wrong way.
There is no confirmed final program date, but it could be expected as early as next month. The cable news network has been struggling with ratings and is ranked third, behind competitors Fox News Channel and MSNBC.
