Deion Sanders Jr. wants the world to know that he cannot get you or your child onto the Colorado University football team. Deion Jr. took to Twitter to make the statement, and it received mixed reviews from the public.

“I’m just letting y’all know… I can’t get anybody into Colorado,” Sanders Jr. tweeted last Tuesday.
One Twitter user scolded Deion Jr. for what they felt was a lack of humility with the post.

“Wait…now the son has the ability to get someone in? I didn’t realize he was on staff. Check yourself and be humble,” Twitter user and sports radio host Jordan DeArmon posted.
Deion Jr. simply replied, “Wtf are u talking about.”
Three Sanders Men
Amid the news of Deion Sanders Sr., leaving Jackson State University to become the University of Colorado’s head football coach, no one stopped to think about how the transition impacts some of his children. Of course, the immediate chatter surrounded his third son, JSU quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Coach Prime quickly declared at his first press conference at Colorado that Shedeur will be the Buffaloes’ starting quarterback in 2023, but he will “have to earn it.”
Additionally, Coach Prime’s son Shilo, a safety who transferred to JSU from South Carolina in 2021, is not a fan of his father and brother’s decision to bounce to Boulder. Shilo has yet to decide whether to transfer and follow his dad and brother to Boulder. Of the three boys, Junior is the only one not still playing football and lists himself as an entrepreneur on his social media pages.
The second child of Coach Prime’s marriage to Carolyne Chambers, Junior followed his father’s athletics footsteps, playing wide receiver at Marcus High School in Dallas, Texas, and the Atlanta Sports Academy in Georgia. Eventually, he played college football at Southern Methodist University in Texas for three seasons.
Retired during Deion Jr.’s collegiate athletic career, his father monitored his son’s progress and even called out then-SMU head coach Chad Morris for not playing Deion Jr., per 247Sports.
“It’s hard for me to understand how the only kid that was an all-conference kid on the team as a returner doesn’t start off returning,” Sanders said in 2015 to 247Sports. “I don’t know how that works.”
From Football To Fashion
Junior was a second-team All-American Athletic Conference selection as a kick returner. He set school records in single-game kick return yards (203) and kick returns (10), and in total returns, he ranks fifth (37) for SMU per his school’s athlete bio page. In 2015, his junior and final year, he finished with 37 returns for 759 yards and logged 23 receptions for 188 yards at wide receiver.
Now Deion Jr. spends his time working his fashion brand — although at the time of this writing there were no items available for purchase on his website — and rap music, which is in line with his father’s famous side hustle.

“I stopped playing football my junior year in college. I didn’t go to ‘the league,'” Deion Jr. wrote on the website for his fashion brand Well Off. “I had to find another way to ‘ball’ without sports….. I had to find another way to be creative and express myself. I had to find something else that I loved doing and that I could put my time into”.
While the Sanders clan has polarized many about choosing to go to Colorado from Jackson State University, Sanders Jr. wants to be left out of the conversation.
