An arrest warrant was issued in Tampa, Florida, for former All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown. According to reports the warrant is in connection with an alleged domestic battery incident that took place earlier this week.
Antonio Brown Has Warrant For Domestic Battery On BM Chelsie Kyriss
The woman is believed to be Chelsie Kyriss, Brown’s on-again, off-again fianceé and the mother of four of his children.
“The suspect exited the residence and threw a shoe at the victim striking her in the ponytail,” the police report stated. “The victim had no injuries but believed the shoe was meant for her head. The suspect would not open the door or come outside to speak with officers. The suspect also during this incident attempted to issue an informal eviction to the victim.”
The police report also says that Kyriss’ belongings were thrown into the street prior to their arrival, but she gathered and placed them in the driveway. Kyriss also said that there were two guns inside the house.
Antonio Brown Locked Himself In House When Police Came
When the police arrived to try and serve Brown the warrant he was locked inside the house. Apparently, police often leave the scene if they are unable to serve the warrant or see the individual they are trying to contact. This is to not allow for situations to escalate.
Brown and Kyriss have a volatile relationship to say the least, and apparently the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver tried to evict her.
“The suspect placed an informal eviction notice on the door … with 11/28/2022 at the date showing the victim has 7 days to gather her belongings and leave,” the police report said in part. “The suspect continued throughout the incident to state that the victim had no right to be at that residence or to even gain entry to it because she did not live there. The victim’s ID has the listed address as her residence as of 10/18/2022.”
Brown’s History Of Legal Issues
Last month Brown had to pay $1.2 million to Broward County moving truck driver Anton Tumanov after he was arrested for physically assaulting the driver and causing multiple injuries.
In October he exposed himself to hotel guests in a swimming pool in Dubai. Video exists of him shoving his ass in the face of a woman.
In 2019 his former trainer Britney Taylor sued him for sexual assault. The civil dispute was settled in April 2021.
All of this is connected and a pattern of alarming behavior that needs to be addressed before the consequences turn dire.
