Minnesota Vikings backup offensive lineman Olisaemeka Udoh was arrested Saturday night in Miami after he reportedly followed a woman into a woman’s bathroom and refused to leave.
The 6th round pick from the 2019 NFL draft was in Miami during the Vikings’ bye week during week 7 of the NFL season. Minnesota did not hold practice.
With a little too much free time on his hands, Udoh went down to Miami and was at club E11even according to Fan Nation, where he had met a woman in the nightclub and began talking to her while she was waiting in line to use the women’s bathroom.

According to a security guard at the club, when the woman entered the bathroom, Udoh “attempted to make entry” into the bathroom as well. From there he was asked to leave the bathroom, which Udoh refused to leave. Security had to forcibly remove Udoh from the club.
“As the line moved forward, (Udoh) attempted to make entry into the females’ bathroom,” the report states. “(Security) gave (him) multiple chances to leave the bathroom, which he refused.” according to Local10.com.
Udoh is 6 feet 6, and 320 pounds …
Needless to say, it took a group of security guards to try and remove the tackle from the club, and even after police got involved, it still took a herculean effort to get the giant into custody.
Local station WPLG described the fracas:
“According to a Miami police arrest report, two off-duty officers working on an unrelated incident outside the E11EVEN Miami nightclub, at 29 NE 11th St., saw the club’s doors swing open and multiple security guards trying to restrain an ‘aggressive’ Udoh.”
Reportedly, after police identified themselves Udoh continued to resist before they eventually were able to get him into a squad vehicle. Udoh is currently charged with resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct.
According to multiple sources, the Minnesota Vikings are aware of Oli Udoh’s arrest and are currently “gathering information.”
Little else has emerged regarding Udoh’s arrest and what he will do moving forward. There is no certainty that he plays this Sunday and depending on the severity of his actions, the Vikings might decide to cut him or trade him ahead of the deadline. The 25-year-old has a season’s worth of experience in a starting role and also plays on special teams.
Udoh played college ball at Elon University, where he represented his Nigerian family as he also got to play college ball in his home state of North Carolina. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2019 draft, and in 2021 he started 16 out of 17 games before being relegated to a backup role in 2022. So far in 2022, he’s played 30 snaps in total, three on offense and 27 on special teams.
The identity of the woman Udoh allegedly was trying to follow into the bathroom is unknown.
