After this recording, things might take a change for the better for Tyreek Hill.
Last year, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, was burning secondaries across the league. In April, the tables were turned.
That month, a secretly recorded conversation between Hill and fiancée, Crystal Espinal, over who should bear responsibility for hurting their 3-year-old son, was released. In the recording, Espinal says that their son told her his father, Hill, broke his arm and that he was afraid of him.
As difficult as that conversation was to listen to, it was edited by Kansas City TV station KCTV5. But the full conversation, recorded at an airport in Dubai earlier this year, was released in full by Kansas City sports radio station, 610 KCSP, including the parts omitted by KCTV5.
"You (expletive) ruined my life and you lied in 2014… I didn't touch you in 2014. I would put that on everything I love, bro. That's the real truth" – Tyreek Hill in the full 11-minute audio recording.

A partial transcription is below;
“… You ruined my life and you lied on me in 2014, bro,” Hill said of the incident, which took place in his Stillwater, Oklahoma, residence and resulted in him being kicked off Oklahoma State’s football team.
“And if you want to rewind that night we can rewind that night too, [expletive]. You was in my house. And did I pick you up and slam you? Hell no, I picked you up and put you out my door and after that you left. And on my son you did that, bro. And then then you get in the courtroom you want to sit up there and cry on the stand. ‘He hit me, he hit me.’ Man, come on bro.”
“Then where did the bruises come from, Tyreek?” Espinal asked.
“Did I hit you? Did I hit you, though?” Hill replied.
“I’m asking you where did the bruises come from,” Espinal said.
“Did I hit you? Tell me the truth in my eyes right now. Look at me,” Hill said.
“We’re not thinking about that,” Espinal said. “Right now the issue is [our son].”
According to Yahoo Sports, the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs are already aware of full audio.
The conversation gives a deep personal look into the inner workings of the couple’s relationship, mentioning a prior domestic abuse charge brought against Hill while he was in college in 2014. After being removed from the team, Hill received a three-year deferred sentence after entering a guilty plea. He then completed his probation requirements and the case records were expunged.
But this past March, Police officers were called to Hill’s home and a police report was filed with Hill and Espinal’s son as the victim.
Last month, Johnson County District Attorney, Steve Howe, said Hill was no longer under investigation for child abuse against his son. But the Chiefs’ star receiver has been banned by the team from team activities since April 26 when KCTV5 released the aforementioned audio.
Hill remains subject to a potential suspension under the NFL’s personal conduct policy, and he doesn’t need criminal charges to be brought against him to be punished by the League.
In the meeting he had with NFL investigators on June 26th in Kansas City, he reportedly doubled-down on assertions made in a letter he sent to the NFL back in May, claiming to have text messages to refute any claims of child abuse. According to reports, the meeting went well.
As reported by Yahoo Sports, the team is hopeful that a ruling on Hill’s immediate NFL future will come before the start of training camp. In addition, they’re optimistic that Hill will attend training camp, which starts July 26, and that they might be able to re-engage contract negotiations and an extension with their speed burning receiver when a resolution is reached.
