New York Jets QB Zach Wilson is starting to become a legend to the bros for something outside the football field. After trending on social media for a few days while remaining radio silent, Wilson has finally re-engaged to address the rumor that his ex-girlfriend Abby Giles floated accusing Wilson of cheating on her with one of his mom’s best friends.
Over the weekend, Giles responded to a social media post that displayed a picture of Gile and Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne surfaced online. In the comments, she was accused of being a “homie hopper” for dating Milne, an ex-teammate, close friend, and roommate at Brigham Young University.

That’s when she dropped a bombshell on social media.
“He was sleeping with his mom’s best friend… that’s the real homie hopper,” Gile left in a drop-the-mic fashion.
Now Wilson has finally poked his head out on social media and responded to the direct accusation of being a potential MILF hunter that peruses his mother’s catalog of friendships.
“Took the boys to @gozzerranchclub in Idaho before camp! Poor cell service…what I miss?”
And like that, Zach Wilson became a legend. To top that off, Wilson reportedly already moved on to a new love interest. With Jets fans everywhere wishing for the return of Joe Namath in some shape or form, Wilson has now been lovingly christened by the fans as “Broadway Zach,” equal parts quarterback and New York City’s newest athletic playboy.

Lisa Wilson, Zach’s mother, is also now urging that people stop calling her friends amid the recent accusation that her 22-year-old son was allegedly involved with one of her homies.
On Monday, she pleaded her case on her Instagram Stories, sharing what amounted to a public service announcement to the masses seeking a shot with her closest friends.
“My friends are freaking amazing. By the way, stop calling my friends,” Lisa said in a reported video.
“You’re annoying them. They’re like, ‘Lisa, these people are crazy.’ I’m like, ‘I know, I know I know.’ Yeah, stop calling my friends, for real though.”
Lisa also shared a screen grab of a message that questioned the media attention her family has received since Wilson was drafted second overall by the Jets last year.
Ironically, while he was in Idaho he ran into hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, who posted a picture of the two and wished the Jets a great season.
Wilson shared photos of the workouts with his Jets teammates in Idaho, including Garrett Wilson, Trevon Wesco, Joe Flacco, C.J. Uzomah, Braxton Berrios, Jeff Smith, and Elijah Moore.
It’s no surprise that a few of those same players in that group had posted about the relationship drama on social media. However, the camaraderie shows that everyone in the locker room has Wilson’s back and supports the young quarterback in having fun with it all.
The New York Jets drafted the strong-armed Zach Wilson out of BYU last season with the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. And while the former Cougars quarterback struggled during his rookie season, he has shown the promise of his high draft pick slot.
However, the team finished at 4-13, even with some highly competitive moments in some weeks. Wilson finished with over 2,300 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and eleven interceptions.
