Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke has a broken collarbone after shoulder-boxing with Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin. Out of all the dissecting from this, everyone wants to place the blame somewhere and be outraged about Quentin charging the mound unnecessarily.
But no one wants to call these guys out for starting a fight with their shoulders.
How is there minimal outrage on two grown men (who use their hands for a living) fighting without their hands? Of the several dozen fights I've seen in my life, not including friendly but competitive slap-boxing in the street, I've never seen folks go at each other and not throw up their hands. It's a shameful sight.
It's not that Greinke "deserved" to get his collarbone broken. But some advice, man: put ya hands up the next time a guy calls himself fighting you with a shoulder lean.

Why did Kobe's rap career fail? Two words: Allen Iverson.

Iverson shifted the model of what people wanted in a ball player. Comparing him to Kobe just made Kobe look even cornier.

more we learn about kobe, the more i'm awed by how totally unafraid he is to fail. it's inspiring stuff.

LL Cool J tried to clarify the comparison of "du-rags for red flags" in "Accidental Racist" by analogizing the Trayvon Martin killing, and in the context of it being a case of mistaken identity. Unfortunately for LL, everything he seems to be defending quite ironically comes off as accidentally racist.
How'd you even get mixed into this foolishness, LL? You deserve better, fam.
Here's Lil Wayne and Meek Mill on "I'm Good."
Also take the time to reflect on the contribution Ralph Wiley made to this profession. The man is an inspiration for what we do here at TSL and we thank him. Happy Born Day, Mr. Wiley.
