There is a narrative that says Rajon Rondo isn't the easiest player to coach or play with. He's got a bit of an independent streak, no question. But Rondo commands respect from around the league because everyone can appreciate a competitor of this degree. We learned over the weekend that the Celtics point guard suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season. The Celtics aren't too much of anything without Rondo, but Doc Rivers won't sign off on the prewritten eulogy.
