Kevin Hart is on a roll in 2013. Not only is his mock reality show Real Husbands of Hollywood thriving on BET, but Hart is also set to host Saturday Night Live on March 2nd. On Tuesday night, Hart’s new alter ego, HartFelt dropped the farcical music video for his debut single, “Frost Without You.” HartFelt's single is part of an ongoing storyline in which RHOH’s Kevin Hart, played by himself, tries to steal R&B crooner Robin Thicke’s wife. The song is apparently about frostbite. Not sure how they fit together, but you don't ask questions when Hart or Chocolate Drop is involved.
The video features Hart singing in his nasally voice while holding a giant guitar and splices in a body double with footage of Paula Patton from Thicke’s actual "Lost Without You" video.
I’m not sure how his nasally singing voice and swagger-jacking Thicke’s beats are going to play with the Grammy nominating committee, but with hooks like “You wanna touch my ice and bless my sneeze,” HartFelt may be the new Drake. Except he’s in on the joke…we think.
