New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz announced that he will undergo season ending surgery, after tearing his calf while running routes in practice.
Cruz’ latest announcement is a sad way to end a disappointing season. Giant fans were hoping he would join the team during their pursuit for the NFC East title and provide some balance for ODB Jr. on the other side of the field. The lingering calf injury, originally thought to not be serious, had other plans. Big Blue could save up to $6 million dollars if they cut Cruz in the off-season, which could mean his time with the team could be coming to a close.
