What up combat sports junkies! it is with great pleasure that we present to you, episode 7 of “On the Throne with King Mo.”
Do you remember our in-depth episode with Lamont Peterson and his trainer/teacher Barry Hunter? Well this weeks show is another MMA-Boxing crossover, featuring our open discussion with boxer Chris Algieri. Algieri started his Power Sports career as a kick boxer, becoming a multi-time champion, then transitioned into one of the fastest rising boxing champions ever.
The Long Island native is a proud graduate of Stony Brook University and one of the most accomplished fighters in the world today. Fighting at Light Welterweight and Welterweight, Algieri is the former WBO Light Welterweight Champion in boxing and the former ISKA World Welterweight and WKA World Super Welterweight Champion in kickboxing.
Algieri discusses his biggest fight to date last November against Manny Pacquaio in Macau, his vicious WBO Light Welterweight victory over Ruslan Provodnikov before that and his upcoming potential barnburner with Amir King Khan on Friday, May 29th 2015 from Brooklyn. He also demonstrates his boxing and MMA knowledge with his predictions on the Memorial Day Weekend fights.
Welcome back to the throne, crossover style. Youre welcome.
