Triplets’ Coach Lisa Leslie Wins BIG3 Coach Of The Year

Lisa Leslie is a basketball legend.

The eight-time WNBA All Star, three-time League MVP, two-time champion and 2015 Basketball Hall of Famer has a resume most would die for. Today she added another award to her already amazing basketball legacy as she was named the Coach of the Year in the BIG3.

The four-time Olympic gold medalist becomes the second female coach in the League’s history to win the award (Nancy Lieberman won it last year). In her first season as head coach of the Triplets, she has the team in the championship game this weekend.

“BIG3 is proud and humbled to have such legendary basketball players as part of the league. Lisa and Joe have put in the work each and every day this season and the results speak for themselves,” said BIG3 co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz in a release. “Now we can’t wait to see if they take home the biggest prize against Killer 3’s on Sunday.”

The 7-1 Triplets, led by BIG3 leading scorer and MVP, Joe Johnson, will face off against Charles Oakley’s Killer 3’s squad this Sunday in LA at 3pm on CBS.
