College isn't always a prognosticator for success. On the first Saturday of college football season, two former national championship-winning quarterbacks are out of a job after Tim Tebow and Vince Young were released by the Patriots and Packers. Tebow's release was expected. Young's release is surprising considering his successful outing in the Packers third preseason game. However, his preseason finale performance was extremely disappointing as Young managed to lead the Packers offense to just two field goal drives in 11 series. Young passed for 144 yards and a earned a passer rating of 61.0.
In two preseason matchups, Tebow accumulated seven sacks and failed to display an internal clock in the pocket. The result was a 47.2 quarterback rating. In case you think the CFL is in his future, think again.
Tim Tebow cut by the New England Patriots. Here we go again with the useless chatter from people who think Tebow could rip up the #CFL #nope
