The Indiana Pacers hung tough against the New York Knicks throughout the first half, and managed to take the lead in the third quarter. Carmelo Anthony began heating up late in the third after shooting 4/11 in the first half, but as the quarter wore down, Carmelo caught fire after dunking on Jeff Pendergraph. He carried his momentum and the Knicks to an dominant 30-2 run to start the fourth. Melo finished with 32 points on 13/26 shooting with nine boards. The Knicks were able to clear their bench and get their starters some valuable rest. They cruised to a 105-79 victory to tie the series.
Game 3 is in Indiana on Saturday, where Amare Stoudemire may make his return to the Knicks.
