The 2010 Hate LeBron Received Fueled Waka Flocka’s “Hard In Da Paint”

For those who didn’t know, Waka Flocka Flame is one of the few rappers out here that can actually hoop.

Since Big Homie Flocka’s emergence in the rap game, he’s had the ability to make anthem music for the hood, the dance floor, and for the gym, including his classic hit, the Lex Luger-produced track “Hard in Da Paint.”

Waka Flocka Made Hard In The Paint For LeBron James

Though the song is almost nine years old and undeniably a banger, the origins behind it are tied to the NBA and one superstar in particular.

“I wanted this to be LeBron James‘ theme song.”

“Hard In Da Paint” came out around the same time as LeBron’s first big “Decision” where we saw King James team up with his eternal homie, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh down in Miami. Considering how the fans (cough, cough, Cleveland) at the time began to vilify the modern day GOAT, Flocka channeled that energy into one of his signature hits.
