At Syracuse University, jersey No. 44 was worn by many standouts, including legendary players Jim Brows, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little. It was retired, honoring the great players that once donned the number for the Orange. But that all changed yesterday when the University decided to reinstate the number.
While some were OK with the decision, former QB Donovan McNabb, who had his jersey number No. 5 retired in 2013, was not happy with this decision. He took to Twitter to voice his opinion:
