A MEAC conference team had never won an NCAA tournament game before Fang Mitchell’s Eagles did the damn thing. Coppin State scored 38 points in the game’s final 13 minutes to secure the historic win.

When they made the tournament, he told me they’d beat Missouri. And he wasn’t blowing smoke. Kyle O’Quinn, the current New York Knick, ate the Tigers up with 26 points and 14 rebounds.
