In a nerve-wracking, drama-filled Game 1, the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 124-114. Familiar opponents equate to familiar rivals, as both teams were going blow for blow all the way through the final minute of regulation at the Oracle Arena.
In a losing effort, LeBron James led all players with a game-high 51 points, but the Warriors withstood an onslaught from the King that took both teams past regulation.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors in scoring with 29 points.
If it wasnt for a brain fart by JR Smith in the closing moments of the game, there may have been a different outcome.
