Boxing Hall of Famer and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions Oscar De La Hoya, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Wednesday morning in California.
An officer pulled De La Hoya in his Land Rover and smelled an alcoholic odor in the car. Field sobriety tests were then administered. The boxing great subsequently failed the tests and was arrested.
De La Hoya, 43, has a well-chronicled history of alcohol and drug problems. He has been to a rehabilitation center at least twice for his addictions, both times causing him to miss major Golden Boy Promotions fights.
