It appears that the next step in Lamar Odom’s reputation, reclamation project is trying his hand at Ice Cube’s Big 3 League. According to TMZ, who spoke with Odom’s college coach Jim Harrick, the former basketball star’s newfound sobriety has him ready to hear the roar of the crowd again as a Big3 featured act. Odom starred for Harrick at Rhode Island back in the day and they’ve been tight ever since.

Odom,37, has had a long journey back from the devastating affects of his break up with ex-wife Khloe Kardashian and his plunge into heavy drug use and risky living which culminated in him being found on a brothel bed, half dead from a drug overdose in 2015. In June, Odom surfaced from his rehab process, appeared on various shows, including Wendy Williams and opened up about his newfound sobriety and his past struggles.

Exclusive: Lamar Odom Talks Sobriety & Kardashians

Lamar Odom opens up in an exclusive interview about his sobriety, addiction, the Kardashians and how he's rebuilding his life. Has he spoken with Rob Kardashian? Would he take Khloe back? Would he ever do reality TV again? Find out what he only tells Wendy.

TMZ reported: “It's actually a change of heart for Odom -- who previously told Harrick he wanted to hang up his sneakers for good ... "but this 3-on-3 has got him excited!"

Coach says Odom still has a ways to go health-wise ... but "if he can get in shape, he can play with anybody."

Odom says he's sober now -- and vows to stay clean for his family.”

The Queens kid would be a great addition to Ice Cube’s league. If he’s healthy and clean, then I’m sure he can get in the lane, pop an open jumper, facilitate and use his length to cause problems for opposing scorers, same as he did as a two-time NBA champion with the Lakers in 2009-2010.

We wish him all the success in the world.
