Giants Can’t Make Offensive Moves Without Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr. had the “these dudes crazy if they think they can win without me” meme face last night standing on the sidelines in a hoodie as he watched the New York Giants offense sputter and go impotent without his energy, game-breaking talents and attention-commanding presence in a 19-3 opening loss to NFC East nemesis the Dallas Cowboys. Beckham Jr. attempted to give his bum ankle a go and even got a few fans optimistic, but he couldn’t make it happen.

Besides, why push it for a team that questions your value?  Let them prove how much they don’t need you. Eli Manning and the Big Blue offense struggled all night without Odell Beckham Jr. Manning managed just 211 yards and threw one pick. The Giants offense only mustered 224 total yards compared to the Cowboys 392 yards.

The running game was feeble, accumulating 35 yards on the ground and as  head coach Ben McAdoo frankly put it, No part of the offense was functional tonight,

Remember when OBJ said he wanted to set the standard and be the highest paid player in the NFL and the social media moshpit went crazy on him? The general consensus was, yeah hes good, but You heard everything from he drops too many passes to his jet-setting, milli-rockin‘, high-energy lifestyle is a distraction to the teams success. Some NY radio hosts have even suggested trading the greatest receiver in Giants history and suggest the team is better off  without Beckhams burst of flamboyance, unpredictable emotional state and me attitude.

Well, apparently some have not only understated OBJs talents and impact on the game. Those detractors have also underestimated Beckham’s leadership and his market value.

It appears that OBJ with all of his undesirable emotions and antics is worth the money after all. I know its one game, but the Giants offense couldnt do a thing without OBJ out there to at least provide a decoy so that other guys could flex their talents. Either the Dallas D is a juggernaut or the Giants need Odell Beckham Jr. as much as he believes they do. One man doesnt make a football team but the Giants looked uninspired and unathletic and the receivers looked slow. The QB looked shaky as hell too.

Beckham’s supposed to be the receiver in the game making circus catches, not Cole Beasley.

Yes, this really happened. Enjoy your #VictoryMonday! https://t.co/y4cavjrkQY

Its unlikely that Dallas defense will continue at this pace and the Giants offense will continue to be as inept. Its the first game of the season and the game was obviously terribly compromised in Beckhams absence. What we do know is that the Giants have to get their superstar healthy as soon as possible and pay that man whatever he wants in the near future  because his claim that hes worth top coin is being proved with every game he misses and every pass from Eli Manning that lands incomplete.
