The horrors suffered by Christy Mack and friend, Corey Thomas, on the night of August 8th, 2014, during the vicious assault by former boyfriend War Machine, formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver, were hard to hear. And the images of the aftermath of his vicious assault were even harder to see.
Mack sat down with Real Sports in July of 2015 to talk about that night during the show’s look at domestic violence in the sport of MMA and tomorrow night she returns to give David Scott and HBO an exclusive about her thoughts surrounding the War Machine trial and her life since that horrific night three years ago.
