On December 4th of 2017, Heinz field went silent as Steelers’ All Pro linebacker Ryan Shazier lay on the field grabbing his back after a brutal hit against the Bengals.
Everyone thought the worst as he was carted off of the field, but hope and belief started immediately through positive messages from friends and family, the hashtag #Shalieve becoming the rallying call for Shazier’s recover process. Over the next four months, Shazier continued to make amazing progress, waving his arms and taking steps on his own.
