“Smoking That Eagle Pack” | Former Cowboy Dez Bryant, and Philadelphia Rapper Meek Mill Make $20K Bet On Eagles-Cowboys

Hold up, wait a minute: You thought the Birds were finished?

Apparently, Dez Bryant does, which is why he had no problem connecting with Meek Mill to make a high-stakes bet on the two NFC East top dogs.

Meek Mill, a rapper from Philadelphia, and by nature an Eagles fan, is feeling the groove the Birds have found early on in the season, so much that he wanted all the smoke and was willing to put a lot of money up on the Eagles, versus whoever. Former Dallas Cowboys star receiver Dez Bryant had time and the money to match Meek’s energy.

“Let’s bet 20k Meek… we smoking on that Eagle Pack oct 16th lol” Bryant said in response to Meek offering to bet on whoever versus the Eagles.

This game is already circled on the calendar for everyone, especially because these two teams share one of, if not the most vicious and competitive rivalries in football. But to add to the stakes, superstar QB Dak Prescott who hasn’t played since Week 1 due to a finger injury is expected to be back for that game versus Philly.

While the Eagles stand as the only undefeated team at 3-0 before taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the Cowboys aren’t lacking momentum either.  After Dak goes down, Dallas is undefeated with backup QB Cooper Rush winning both games against Cincinnati and the New York Giants.

One of Philly’s main strengths as a football team is its balance on both sides of the ball. They have one of the best offenses in the league and do not lack at any position. The same can be said for their defense as well, as they boast one of the best lines and secondaries in the league.

There isn’t enough that can be said about QB Jalen Hurts, who is in the midst of having his breakout season, and simultaneously securing his spot on the Eagles as their franchise signal-caller. Over three games Hurts has thrown for 916 yards, four touchdowns, and only one interception. He is undoubtedly playing the best football of his career, and it couldn’t have come at a better time, as the birds have surrounded Hurts with multiple weapons, the best offensive line, and a great defense.

With that being said, many still have the Cowboys as the best team in the NFC East, and the better team regardless of their record. The Boys only lost their first game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and after that, they’ve been great on both sides of the ball as well. With Prescott’s absence, the Cowboys have leaned on their defense, led by linebacker Micah Parsons, who has four sacks in three games heading into week 4. Their defense has also kept all teams under 20 points in their first three games, and going against a struggling Washington Commanders team on Sunday — whom the Eagles also dismantled last week — they look to continue that defensive dominance.

That Week 6 clash of heavyweights will definitely be one for the books, and for the money, if you’re Dez Bryant or Meek Mill. $20,000 is a lot to us and little to nothing to them.

The Eagles have one of the easiest schedules this season, and the Cowboys will probably be the toughest team they face this year, so for a team that many are regarding as elite, this will not only be a big test for Philly but a huge game for Meek to back his team up as well.
