Sixers Cut Royce White

Royce White is now searching for another home after getting waived by the Philiadelphia 76ers. During his preaseason stint, he showed some promise to the team but he also had some major flaws.

From CSN Philly :

The biggest surprise of Thursday’s cuts was Royce White, who at 6-foot-9 and 260 pounds, gave the team a versatile weapon off the bench. White was raw, but had the ability to rebound and push the ball up the floor. He also had a nice touch on passes inside, a rare skill for a big man.

However, White also was prone to foul trouble. Last Monday, he fouled out of a game against the Cavaliers at Ohio State and was ejected when he drew two technical fouls for arguing with the officials. White also suffered from a generalized anxiety disorder that could have left him a question mark for some games on the road.

CSN also reported that Vander Blue, Khalif Wyatt, and Mac Koshwal were cut from the team as well. The moves have trimmed the roster down to 16 players, and that leaves one more player to cut from the roster by Monday’s deadline.
