Russell Wilson Wacks Tom Brady

The New England Patriots were making this 2016 NFL season look like easy pickings.

The New England Patriots were making this 2016 NFL season look like easy pickings.

Brady returned from suspension already cushioned with a 3-1 record and won his first four games before losing a tough one against the Seattle Seahawks (31-24) on Sunday.

While Brady continues to get the praise and still has that Super Bowl win that Peter Carroll flushed down the toilet for Wilson a few years back, Sundays rematch between two of the games finest signal callers was one sided as hell from a QB perspective, despite the score.

Entering the highly-anticipated contest, everyone knew it would take a Herculean effort by the Seahawks offense to defeat Brady and Co.

As he has done, too many times to even recall at this point, Wilson rose to the occasion and delivered one of the best aerial performances of his illustrious career. The NFL’s modern day Joe Montana continues to take a path to greatness that is eerily similar to Bradys as far as winning early, while developing as a passer and exuding unquestioned leadership.

Wilson bombed on Belichick’s D, tossing for for a career-high 348 yards and three TDs to Doug Baldwin. Brady was held to 0 TDs and a pick and was stopped four straight times at the goal line in the fourth quarter.

Nuff said.

Wilson was his typically clutch self, guiding Seattle 75 yards on his winning drive.  Wilson was 5 of 6 passing for 69 yards and also had a 6-yard scramble to lock a crucial game between two Super Bowl favorites. A wild game that included seven lead changes.

The Seahawks have an improved ground game and their receivers are waking up. When Wilson gets hot hes as good as anybody in the game. Hes a second half of the year player by nature and track record as well.

So Pats fans can blame the refs. Blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol…whatever you want, but when Wilson is pushing the pigskin with purpose, Seattle is a different squad. They proved that much on Sunday.

NFL Network analysts say, Its still the Patriots… and everybody else.

However, the Pats defense spits a different lyric. The D wreaks playoff vulnerability.

It got Swiss-cheesed up by a proven Super Bowl QB and Sundays game could be a preview of another Super Bowl face off between Brady and Wilson in 2017.
