Reports That Tony Parker Will Say Au Revoir To NBA After 2016 Olympics Are Not True

About an hour ago, I came across an interesting blurb from Tony Parker telling NBA Greece that he planned to retire after the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. A few sites ran with it, and it was discussed on ESPN's First Take. Unfortunately, that's not entirely true. The story was the result of a mistranslated quote from an interview Parker gave during All-Star weekend.

Here's the actual quote. Take note journalism students.

“I like the NBA game and I like the FIBA game. So for me is always a great honor to play in those competitions and I love representing my country,” Parker said. “I wanna go to the Olympics in Brazil and there is where I will retire.”
