Real Reason For Porzingis Skipped Meeting Revealed

Whats done in the dark will come to the light, but oftentimes the thing that makes it to the light is purposefully misleading. Take the alleged reason why New York Knicks young phenom Kristaps Porzingis skipped his exit meeting with the franchise after last season. Everyone and his cousin reported that this was because Porzingis was upset with then-president Phil Jackson. But according to Peter Vecsey of the New York Post and various social media outlets, the real reason was actually head coach Jeff Hornacek.

Hornacek is alleged to have been particularly hard on Kristaps last year, telling teammate and best friend Willy Hernangomez in no minced words to tell Kristaps to “stop playing like a pu**y.”  Yeah, I wouldnt want to speak with a coach that felt comfortable coming out his or her face like that with me regularly.  If true, it is a clear instance of a time tested method of motivation used in American coaching; test a players manhood. However, while this method has worked well with many over the years, it can also lead to a great deal of resentment from a targeted player.

In addition to Hornaceks alleged pottymouth, Vecsey alleges the 22-year-old star may have felt averse to the manner he was treated relative to Carmelo Anthony. The two are back on speaking terms, but the issue is far from resolved.
