Breaking news this morning as reports are flying that the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs are in the midst of finalizing a deal to trade DeMar DeRozan for Kawhi Leonard.

Spurs have agree to trade Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to Toronto for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick, league sources tell ESPN. Trade call with league office is starting shortly.
This entire move comes as a shock as many were speculating that Kawhi would end up on the west coast with the Lakers or Clippers while DeRozan was happy in Toronto and was told he wasn’t going to be traded. But in the business of sports, no one is ever truly safe.
