Rick Ross Reportedly On Life Support Following Heart Attack

When the hip-hop world lost Latino rap superstar Chris Rios “AKA” Big Pun in 2001 due to a heart attack at the tender age of 28, discussions about obesity and healthy living became a focus of the rap community. After all, Big Pun was 600 pounds and didn’t practice the healthiest living habits. His premature death amid rising celebrity sparked discussions about the perils of obesity.

It seems as if the rap world is on the verge of losing another Titan whose weight has caught up with him.

According to TMZ, “MMG rap boss Rick Ross was rushed to a hospital on Thursday (March 1) after he was found unresponsive and breathing heavily.”

The site reports that someone from his Miami home called the police after finding him under these conditions at 3:30 a.m., saying that the person in distress had a history of seizures. When the person attempted to wake him, he was slobbing out the mouth.

When he recovered from the bout of unconsciousness, TMZ says he became combative. After he was transported to the hospital by way of an ambulance, the site reports that hes currently receiving a respiratory treatment for possible pneumonia. However, while further reports state that the medical emergency is heart-related, TMZ concludes that an unnamed family member denies that hes even in the hospital.

Despite the contradicting reports, the rap community sends its well wishes to Ross amid the alleged emergency situation.
