The New York Knicks had their legal team ready to pounce on a midtown Manhattan shop for illegally using their logo. The offense? Changing the official New York Knicks logo to New York Kn*ggas.
Though the shop's manager Eddie Nunez didn't see a problem. In fact, he even sold it for $10 more than the regular Knicks tee, the NYK front office wasn't having any of it. They released a statement to NBCNewYork.com:
"We absolutely do not condone this t-shirt, which violates our trademark rights and now that it has been brought to our attention, the Knicks are working with the NBA to have the store cease and desist from selling them."
Shortly after, Nunez pulled the shirt from his shelves.
