PRITTY Left Hook: Shawn “Flexatron” Rhoden

We’re bringing muscles upon muscles with this episode.Welcome to the PRITTY Left Hook podcast where we get real about combat sports! I promise you that I will take a position that will either have you fist-pumping your coworker in the next cubicle or cursing me out voraciously. I talk trash and get in that ass, baby.

In this episode, we connect with the current 2018 Mr. Olympia Shawn “Flexatron” Rhoden. The Jamaica born bodybuilder, raised in Washington, D.C., dethroned the seven-time champion, Phil “The Gift” Heath this past September. The win was larger than life not just for the victory itself but for the obstacles he overcame.

Imagine drinking so much that you start to pee blood and your body shuts down. Imagine being so depressed that you basically give up and try to commit suicide twice. How many of you would be able to recover from that, turn your life around and eventually achieve your biggest goal in your chosen profession?

Shawn Rhoden is one of those who fortunately emerged from that very dark place, and on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 he realized a lifelong goal.

So sit back, relax and be entertained, bih! We’re flexing a whole lot of muscle with this one!
