PRITTY Left Hook: Michael “Venom” Page

The man who crushes skulls and hurls Pokemons stops through.

Welcome to the PRITTY Left Hook podcast where we get real about combat sports. I promise you that I will take a position that will either have you fist-pumping your co-worker in the next cubicle or cursing me out voraciously. I talk trash and get in that ass. Catch the wave Fridays.

This week we sit down with a very dangerous man, Michael “Venom” Page.

A former kickboxer and karate practitioner, Page was frustrated with fighting for points. He craved real combat action and jumped fully into the sport of mixed martial arts.

Since that decision, MVP has defeated all, sitting confidently with 13-0 career record and a slew of memorable wins. For casual fans, you might remember Page as the guy who crushed his competitor’s skull with a rapid-fire flying knee to his head and followed it up with a Pokemon based celebration.

The West Indian Londoner faces off against a guy he truly dislikes, Paul “Semtex” Daley, at Bellator 216 in round one of the Bellator welterweight tournament.

MVP stopped by the studio to discuss being Trini-Jamaican, why he loves tournaments, his dislike of Paul Daley and, of course, Pokemon. This is as real as it gets all in one podcast.
