Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Will Revealed

The tragic death of award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman is still rippling throughout the entertainment industry. That is to be expected when we lose someone of his ilk and reputation.

Yesterday, TMZ released the details of his will and it appears to be all about taking care of his children and their mother – as it should be. In the will Hoffman asked for his 10-year-old son Cooper to be raised in Manhattan because of its cultural, artistic and architectural merits.  In the will, he names Chicago and San Francisco as viable options as well. If his son cannot live in those cities, the will states that he should visit these cities twice a year if living. Noticeably absent from the list of desired locales for his son to grow up in is Los Angeles.

Hoffman was found dead in NYC of an apparent drug overdose on February 2. Hoffman left the bulk of his $35 million estate to Mimi O’Donnell, the mother of Cooper as well as his daughters Tallulah, 7, and Willa, 5.
