Prior to Game 5 of the Finals, Jay-Z continued his pop culture takeover by airing a three-minute long commerical building the hype for his 12th studio album, Magna Carter Holy Grail.
For Thursday’s edition of Numbers Never Lie, Friends of TSL Jemele Hill and Michael Smith parodied the visuals for Jay-Z’s self-promotional ad by tacking on a Game 7 Finals theme.
Rick Rubin, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, Rick Rubin and Jay-Z’s penthouse studio weren’t available, but they do have Hill bobbin' her head to a dope beat, Hugh Douglas rockin’ Rubin’s nappy beard, Smith ruminating on the duality of James and Jay Williams portraying a Stevie Wonder facsimile on the air keyboard.
